Few
people ever get the chance to dine with royalty, albeit equine royalty.
But from January 12th 2007 the regal Spanish horses of El Caballo Blanco (The White Horse)
will entertain in a unique dinner and show experience under an
exquisite custom-built palatial marquee, to be situated in Swan Street,
Richmond.
For the first time in Melbourne diners will be able to
savour fine cuisine and quality wine in the extravagant surrounds of
the purpose-built Palacio Grande – a fitting venue for these horses of
royal descent.
A stable of the world-renowned Lipizzaner,
Andalusian, Friesian and Arabian horses display their beauty and grace
in a fully choreographed production.
The arena-style extravaganza will be led by riding Master Rene Gasser
who has worked tirelessly with these magnificent horses to recreate the
type of performance usually only seen at the famous riding schools in
Vienna and Spain.
The show will pay fitting tribute to these
majestic steeds whose strength and intelligence is steeped in romance.
They have carried man through history, fuelled his greatest ambitions
and met his most noteworthy achievements.
The emotion charged
performance will be complimented by evocative Spanish music, including
live Flamenco guitarists. While fiery flamenco dancers will leave
hearts pounding as the audience applauds for more.
A changing
menu may include entrees of smoked salmon salad with avocado and salsa
verde or an antipasta platter with cured vegetables and damper. Mains
may feature a warm chicken Caesar salad, grilled barramundi with snow
peas, kipfler potatoes and a mango and pawpaw salsa, or crispy skinned
chicken breast marinated in white wine, rosemary and garlic served with
baby chats. All of which can be washed down with a choice of top
quality fine wine.
To satisfy the sweet tooths desert will
consist of canapés or individual pavlova’s with wild berries and fresh
cream. Children are given first-class treatment too, with gourmet
burgers followed by the definite crowd-pleaser, ice cream.
The athletic display of these extremely sensitive and highly intelligent horses will have audiences enthralled.
So
whether it be a romantic dinner date, a group social or a chance for
the whole family to experience a night out with a difference, this
spectacular is one not to be missed.
