RMIT Union Arts presents another classic tale from the master of the absurd – Roald Dahl. Don’t miss out – now is your chance to be a part of Melbourne’s most exciting, engaging and entertaining live theatre… Fantastic Mr Fox.
The
rabbits and weasels, the badgers and the foxes need help to feed their
families and outwit the nastiest farmers this side of the valley. Will
YOU come along to shout and scream, jump and shout for the animals’
only saviour, the Fantastic Mr Fox?
Bunce, Bean and Boggis
are three of the richest, nastiest most loathsome farmers you could
ever wish to meet. With sticks and guns, hatchets and pistols, crowbars
and pitchforks the three farmers try to out-fox our furry friends
living under the ground.
Will the burrowing rabbits, mining
moles, scrabbling weasels, excavating badgers and furiously tunnelling
foxes be able to defeat the farmers and feed their families with a
feast fit for a king? Can your kids help to fool the farmers and hatch
a plan with the cunningly crafty Fantastic Mr Fox?
Once again Road Dahl
has written a wonderful tale that sees good triumph over evil as our
friends in the animal kingdom outsmart the unscrupulous farmers
determined to catch our brave burrowers and destroy the environment in
the process.
From Tales of the Unexpected to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Roald Dahl
is undoubtedly one of the most adored writers of the twentieth century.
A master of twisted tales and truly eccentric characters, Dahl proved that great storytelling is an art-form that appeals to both children and adults alike. Roald Dahl’s
works have been transformed into every conceivable medium: from live
theatre productions to animations and feature films, his works hold a
special place in the hearts and minds of everybody who has had the
pleasure of passing through his weird and wonderful world.
For 22 years RMIT Union Arts
has been presenting children’s theatre productions that stir the soul,
warm the heart and fire the imagination of kids and adults alike. A
riotous and energetic production, Fantastic Mr Fox takes kids
on a magical journey that is loud and educational, hilarious and
inspiring. This stage adaptation by David Wood brings to life the crazy
characters of Roald Dahl and involves the audience in every step of this off-the-wall adventure.
RMIT Union Arts
produces affordable, intoxicating live theatre that has introduced tens
of thousands of kids to the joys of live theatre, performance and
literature. Produced by RMIT Union Arts by special arrangement with Dominie Pty Ltd. and directed by Lynne Ellis, the shows are staged and performed by RMIT students.
