 Surreal fragmented worlds collide with real factual places as Tim Stitz, Mark Tregonning and Keith Brockett navigate themselves through the complex worlds of memories and truth commissions. (The South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Argentinian Nunca Mas)
in other words is a site specific visual theatre piece exploring official platforms of listening. It points to local issues by exploring international stories. And it delivers a powerful message on how we deal or don’t deal with our histories. in other words couldn’t be more prevalent. Using slide projected portraits, installation, film projection and an original haunting score, in other words will take audiences down into the cracks, exploring what they mean and how they are symptomatic of a larger structural problem.
From the director and lighting designer who brought you “site” (nominated for “Outstanding Direction” in the New Forms category of the 2006 Green Room awards), comes a new work equally as innovative in form and content.
