“Rick Miller’s impersonation of the entire cast of The Simpsons doing Macbeth is both hilarious and awe-inspiring” - The Independent (UK)
“Hilariously funny, and it works like gangbusters!” - Los Angeles Times
"Phenomenal!… Miller performs with energy, relish, and precision” - Chicago Reader

It’s toured 150 cities worldwide, and now TV and stage star RICK MILLER will bring his international one-man mega-hit MacHomer to Australia for a brief tour of Sydney, Brisbane, Wollongong and Bathurst in 2010!

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Simpsons (and the 404th year of Macbeth), Merrigong Theatre Company and Richard Jordan Productions bring to Australia almost certainly the funniest version of Shakespeare’s masterpiece ever performed (we know, it’s supposed to be a tragedy!).

Rick Miller’s side-splitting and inspired one-man Macbeth transplants Shakespeare into Springfield, home of television’s favorite dysfunctional family, The Simpsons. With Homer in the lead and Marge as Lady MacHomer, Miller recreates the voices of more than 50 characters from the iconic TV series.

Join the half a million Simpsons/Shakespeare fans on 4 continents who have made MacHomer one of the world's biggest little hits. What began as a fringe festival mash-up of The Simpsons and Shakespeare in 1995 has now evolved into a multi-media spectacular. MacHomer was completely revamped for its 10th anniversary tour in 2006, with new songs, characters, jokes and video images.

Rick Miller has catapulted to international success as the host of hit TV series Just For Laughs. He is also an international theatre star, most famously known for his one-man shows MacHomer and Bigger Than Jesus, a co-creation with Daniel Brooks that Rick has played in 4 languages and won 3 DORA awards (Canada’s equivalent to the TONY’s). Miller is also a frequent collaborator with international theatre sensation Robert Lepage, having worked on such plays as La Géométrie des Miracles, Zulu Time (co-created with Peter Gabriel), and on the film Possible Worlds. Their latest collaboration is Lipsynch, a 9-hour,
9-actor epic production.
