Mick Barnes’ Unit
46, the smash hit show from this year’s Adelaide Fringe Festival is on its way to Sydney.
This
bittersweet Australian comedy offers a voyeuristic peep through the keyhole at
warring neighbours, Tim and Diane as they strip, shower, drink and dream
together – separately.
Masterfully
crafted by Andrew Doyle - one of
Sydney’s most in-demand directors, the show projects two identical units into
one so that deadly enemies Tim and Diane play out their lives moving around
each other but never coming into contact. In these troubled times, Unit 46 offers a truly funny and
all-too familiar take on the contemporary modern prison – apartment living!
Following
the up-coming Sydney season Unit 46 is going to make its European debut at the world-renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August at
one of the most popular festival venues “C on Chamber Street”.
Leof Kingsford-Smith (Underbelly:
Tale of 2 Cities, Home & Away) returns in the role of Tim. Joining Leof
and the rest of the creative team behind Unit
46 is dazzling Sydney talent Lucy Miller (All Saints, As
Bees in Honey Drown) in the role of Diane.
