The Stirling Players are excited to present their latest production, Alice in Wonderland by William Glennon, from Lewis Carrol’s classic story.
This new adaptation of Alice is so close to the original in intention and feeling that you might suspect that Carroll himself had written it.
A group of performers seek out Alice in order to provide "her turn" in Wonderland. As her adventure unfolds, they play teh many chacters she encounters and grows to love.
All the old favourites are there, including the Caterpillar, TweedleDee and TweedleDum, the White Rabbit and, of course, the Cheshire Cat. Although this is not a musical, many of Lewis Carroll's well known verses feature music and dance.
Director Christine Ellis is well-known in for her youth-based productions, and Alice is anticipated to be no exception. Fast-paced and funny, this show is a joy to see and hear, and one that not only children, but people of all ages will thoroughly enjoy. This is definitely one to bring the children or grandchildren along to!
