Brisbane production team,Jo Thomas and Sean Dennehy, once again pander to short attention spans byshowcasing the talents of Queensland playwrights in their second series ofshort plays, Micro Trip II: The Return Journey, opening 18 November at Sue Benner Theatre, Metro Arts.

Following on from thesuccess of Micro Trip as part ofMetro Arts Independents Program in July 2007 and with the backing of a BrisbaneCity Council Creative Sparks Grant, Micro Trip II will treat audiences to a hilarious night of sevenbrand new short plays.

Sean’s new work will bepresented alongside playwrights Sven Swenson, Adam Couper, Nick Backstrom (allBrisbane-based), and Liz Schneidewin (Kingaroy).

A stellar cast of Brisbaneactors will bring the stories to life, including Bryan Probets (currently in TheImportance of Being Earnest, QTC); LouiseBrehmer (recently in The Ghost Writer, …and moor theatre, Metro Arts), Daniel Murphy (recently acted in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee atthe Roundhouse Theatre), and Jo Thomas.

The plays duck and weavein and out of the big and little issues of life and will invite audiences on ajourney through Queensland in 1901, to the landingon the moon, through the ongoing battle of the sexes and, of course, to the end of the world.
