Biography: Originally from Malaysia, Selma has also lived in Singapore and UK before moving to Sydney almost 6 years ago. She has a strong foundation in theatre having done acting, playwriting, stage management, lighting and costume. She has a BA in English & Drama from the University of Bristol, UK, and an MA in Professional Writing from the University of Technology, Sydney. Since moving to Australia, Selma has also become interested in contemporary dance and ballet. She has been been writing for Sydney Stage (now Australian Stage) since its inception and in addition to being a regular reviewer, has interviewed Robyn Nevin (former Artistic Director of Sydney Theatre Company), Peter Cousens (Artistic Director of Kookaburra) and Mark Cleary (Artistic Director of Newtown Theatre and founder of the Short & Sweet Festival). She has also worked as a radio presenter, copywriter and is currently a sub editor for Delicious magazine.
