Biography: Rebekka Salmi has always had an avid interest in the theatre. Since a young age she has been involved in a range of performances and program. In 2003 Rebekka enrolled in a Bachelor of Theatre Arts, majoring in theatre studies, at the University of Southern Queensland. During this time Rebekka further developed her love for theatre, its ability to transform her and stand in time, as a memory and as a piece of her. She particularly loves the process of making theatre, writing, directing and the semiotics of the stage. Since graduating, Rebekka has managed Music Queensland, a music school on the Gold Coast, and then moved to Melbourne to pursue work in the theatre. Ideally Rebekka would like to direct for theatre and for film.
