I thought this was awful; had there been an interval, I would have left. The opening scenes were eerie and had impact and I expected the play to be harrowing - but it didn't get there; in fact what actually evolved was silly. The 3 parts played by Melita were remarkably similar, and the whole thing felt overacted. Robyn Nevin - whom I normally think is wonderful - hobbling around the stage stooped and waving her arm was reminiscent of Quasimodo (or perhaps Richard III). Putting the victims into boxes and taping over and over with packing tape was to me inappropriately comical. I did laugh when the child was carried off - he hammed it up so beautifully! Oh, and couldn't someone have cleaned up the fake vomit - I spent half the show worrying that someone would slip on it.
