What a great review - I totally agree. I thought this was a wonderful production. Electrifying, disturbing, uncompromising. The choice of music and the way it was used in the work was deeply affecting.

I can understand though, why people would walk out. This work is very, very discomforting. It's really just... full on. If people aren't ready for it, if they're not familiar with the play, didn't happen to read the program notes, or whatever, it would be such a shock, and emotionally harrowing. Artistically, for this play, that's a wonderful achievement, and it tells the story superbly. But I can understand how people could feel it was too much for them and feel that they need to leave.

But yeah, Kosky and Tom Wright. Brilliant.
