This production has stayed with me like no other I have seen. The more I think about it, the more I come to believe what Wright and Kosky have created is in fact the female equivalent to King Lear--the once-magnificent Queen left stripped and raging at the calamity that surrounds her, her three "daughters" either destroyed or distrusted--this is glorious epic storytelling and great theatre. I'm going back.
