Steve wasn't "nominated" by "a dude" for the Mojo Breakthrough Act. He was voted for by thousands of Mojo readers, achieving a landslide victory in the category. Still I'm sure the opinion of one bitter little critic (and one who writes in an almost unreadably florid style), counts for a lot more than those voters. Or, indeed, the ecstatic crowd at The Basement, who – to a man or woman – seemed to disagree with Brad's self-centred assessment of the gig.
