The Accelerator Program is a media partnership initiative designed to assist small to medium Performing Arts companies in the promotion of their work.
Australian Stage Online began life in October 2005 as Melbourne Stage Online, and was initially established as an artist-run media outlet, to create a voice for small-medium Performing Arts companies – a vibrant and vital sector of the Performing Arts industry that regularly struggles to attract media coverage.
Through the Accelerator Program we provide a number of independent theatre companies with the opportunity to advertise and publicise their projects in a media partnership with Australian Stage. The Accelerator Program is designed to take into account the limited resources of independent theatre companies and offers them an opportunity to enter into a media sponsorship without excessive demands or arduous reporting/acquittal requirements.
The Accelerator Program provides real media support to small-medium Performing Arts companies while providing a first step for small companies in seeking sponsorship.
